National Sewing Month

September is National Sewing Month. To celebrate, I went to Jo Ann over the weekend and signed up for two classes. Woohoo!!! I am very very very very very very very excited. The class fees were half off and I was one of the first ones to sign up. I'll learn to make a cute jacket (just in time for fall) and what they call "lazy pants." I'll learn how to follow a standardized pattern. I've made my own simple patterns but that's just it. I'm the only one who can understand it. Heehee... I've been sleeping late at night just thinking of what fabric to use. Choosing which one will be the problem. I will definitely post pics of my progress.

And speaking of September, it sure feels like the fall season has started early as I was greeted by thick fog on the way to work. The weekly forecast looks great and it'll be just perfect for the L.A. County Fair. I've never been to one but I'm seriously thinking of taking a day off to go check it out. I think it's better to go on a weekday. Imagine all those fried goodies.

  1. Oh wow! So very proud of you, Peach! That's so awesome! I can't wait to see the things you make. Don't stay up too late - remember, once you learn how to make them, you can always make more! And perfect your art! ^_^
    Good for you, Peach!
